No speaker sound or headphone sound?

Hello,

After replacing the battery in my iphone 5s I ran into a mess of problems. Though the touch ID stopped working, I am not concerned. I noticed both the speaker and the headphone jack stopped working. I can get sound out of the lightning port as well as bluetooth audio, and audio out of the ear piece in calls.

Does this mean I should replace the dock connector and speaker? Is there perhaps a damaged ribbon cable?

Sounds like you might have bumped a connector loose. There is a small connector that sits just to the side of the battery connector, between it and the loudspeaker. Check and make sure you have that connected properly.

Too bad I already ordered a new dock connector and speaker...

Because you solved my problem. I can't believe it. Sometimes the simplest answer is the best. I'll gladly waste the 10$. You are awesome, thanks so much!
