Is it possible for my MacBook to run without a battery?

My Macbook Pro is on its second battery and is starting to bloat considerably. As I am short on money at the moment, is it possible for the Macbook Pro to run with the battery removed and just have it plugged in all the time? I don't want to risk the battery rupturing while I'm using it because I'm unable to afford a replacement.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Yes you should be able to remove the battery and use the system with just your adapter.

From my research, apparently without the battery, it cuts down on processing power, is this true?
