New Battery does not hold a charge.

There seems to be a problem with the new battery that I purchased from iFixit. I installed the battery as instructed in the video. I charged the battery for 8 hours, then I attempted to powered up the Macbook Air. The Macbook Air would not boot up. When the unit is plugged into the wall outlet it boots up just fine. When the power cord is unplugged the Macbook Air shut down immediately. I was unable to drain the battery completely because I could not turn the computer on with the battery.

I have remove the new battery and returned the old battery back in to the Macbook Air and it works fine.

Although the old battery is not holding a charge it works fine for 3 or 4 hours.
