Screen is intermittantly erratic

I have an Iphone 5, 32 gb (one that was recalled for a bad power button I think, but it has been more than a year) and now the screen will either not register touches on the top 1/2" or start ghost clicking intermittantly. There are many variations of this question here and online, but no solid fixes I can determine and none very recent. I opened it up and found a loose screw to the ear piece and reinstalled it. The connector tape some people refer to is intact, all other screws are tight. Many folks claim to have replaced screens and no fix so I don't want to throw 90 bucks down on a maybe. Time to replace it? any other ideas?

Answer this question I have this problem too

If you're not too confident with paying 90 bucks to replace the screen which might not even fix the problem I recommend buying a new phone as iPhone 5 is quite old now. And you may be able to spend a little more on top of 90 bucks and get a seller refurbished iPhone 5.
