Why doesn't the new fan work?

I installed the new left fan in my MacBook Pro 2010. The old one made a lot of noise. The connection seemed fine when installed. But the new fan doesn't turn on. Any ideas on why?

First thing to check is if your new fan works, do you have access to a known good fan? Often the replacement part will be faulty. Order a new one and test, if the problem persists we can begin to diagnose further
