Can I take this 7" display and make it a functional display?

So, I've teared down an old 7" tablet whose display is perfectly working. Now I want to use it as a small 2nd display for my computer. I guess I'll need some kind of controller to do that, but I have no clue on where to get one, which one should I get and how do I make it work. Could you guys help me out? I've got some pics of the panel and the ribbon cable here.
