My home button is not working after replacing battery and lcd screen

Yes after replacing a crack screen & battery on my IPhone 5c . My home button does not work any more . The battery came out pretty easy with no damaged done to phone. I also checked the gold connections on the phone and they were not damaged.

The only thing I can think of it is not making a good connection with the lcd screen, Has anyone else had this issue. I changed my Iphone 5 lcd screen and had no issues like this.

Hi I did the test by shorting the two points and it worked. The issue is how can the home button cable be bad when I had replaced the whole screen three times ( the first two had other issues )?

Also the logic board should be fine seeing shorting the two point worked correct?

Any other Ideas? The only other thing I can think of is that the points are not reaching the two gold points on the screen, but it does look clear?

It's very easy to tear the home button flex, replace the flex, see what happens. :-)

Test gold points by using tweezers to touch the two, as this shorts the points and it should work, if it does, then it's the home button flex that needs replacing.

If not, you may have damaged it and the charging port will need replacing.

If that doesn't work, you may have damaged the logic board, possibly when prying battery out if you pried on logic board side.

I would check the the home button contacts to make sure the flex they are connected to are not torn. If it is torn you may need to order a new one!
