Image reversed on LCD - from right to left

I have a unique problem one one machine that I am in charge for maintaining in a hospital I work for.

The problem is this: The letters and images are REVERSED (or mirrored?) to right-to-left orientation.

There is no setting that does this in any of the machine menu.

The symptoms are: after some time, the screen will start line-flickering (flickering just one one of two horizontal lines) and THAN the change will appear like this:

From this "Sample text on my screen" to this "Ƨɒmqlɘ ƚɘxƚ on my ƨɔɘɘn"

I am convinced that it is a hardware fault.

Did anyone have any experience of symptoms like this? Could it be repaired?

What type of machine is it plugged into? Do you think it's a fault with the monitor, or possibly the machine?

hi, The clue might be that you managed to mirror image your example so maybe the 'text' software in the machine can do the same. Also is there an external monitor option for you to try?

It is build in LCD screen.

I haven't got the chance to open it and will not have it until tomorrow, but it is a unique error that I haven't seen before

No external monitor option.

No option in any menu, and the error is jumping from normal to mirrored from time to time.
