Why is there no power

i have an imac that wont turn on. was using it one night when it started to make a strange sound, i shut it down, and could not get it to start up, took it to a repair shop who tried to diag it. replaced the motherboard, cpu, psu. and still cant get it to power. even tried to swapp out the power connector. same problem, no leds light up, psu works for sure, "tested it in another imac", they even thought the power switch may have caused the problem, so they jumped the power pins. still no sign of life. any ideas on what the problem could be?

If you've replaced everything else all that's left are the cables that move the power around to the board . the power unit for this machine has plug ins and the cables stay with the machine you may want to test the cables. Hope this helps

If no lights are coming on you need to replace your power supply. A trickle charge is sent from the power supply to the first LED. If the first LED is not lit the power supply is not working. or your switch is bad or the cable to the led is bad or the led is bad. That is it there is no other reason you shouldn't at least get the first led to light

could the mother board be bad? i tried the power supply in another imac and it worked. how can the power supply be bad then? replaced the cables that run from the power supply to the motherboard and inverter board. and replaced the power jack to make sure power was comming in. but when i press the power button. nothing happens and there is no light. even jumping the power switch pins doesnt work.
