iPhone 5s touch screen unresponsive

Hello FIXIT'S

This Is the First time i've had a problem like this before, wondering if anyone could give us a hand and enlighten me.

I currently have in front of me an IPhone 5s, it had been dropped. (NOT IN WATER)

So long story short, the phone touch screen is not longer working.

I have changed many screens to the same phone / logic board

I have also swapped the logic board into many other working phones also.

But still no touch response?

The problem is clearly with the logic board,

but what is the reason?

what could the problem be down to?

and what location should i be looking in?

Any ideas guys?

P.S

I've also reset phone holding power and home button for 15 seconds etc etc

Much appreciated,

Kyle

I'm thinking its either the digitizer socket or the touch IC. Check to make sure those contacts on the digitizer socket aren't bent or not in their proper place. After that it's most likely the touch IC. However you may not have put the phone into dfu and restored from a backup, that could possibly fix the problem

Thanks for your answer pal,

had tried dfu mode and had restored from backup a few times.

still nothing.

i think you are correct about the touch IC

thanks again.

Hi Kyle,

I think you have to restart your Iphone first and then if that won't work then you can try to hard reset on Iphone. Hope it may work sometimes unused applications are the major cause of such issue. Let me know if that works

Danny
