iPhone 6 no signal

iPhone 6 bent badly at the bottom it bent the motherboard slightly near the charging connector. Said no sim even though the SIM card was still in the phone. Put the motherboard into the new housing and inserted the SIM card in keeps saying searching when I pull out the SIM card it still says searching. I'm going to try to replace the charging port beacuse it has an antenna. Has anyone seen this problem before and what could be the problem. I don't know how to do motherboard repairs.

Having the exact same problem. My housing has been bent for a while. One of my friends dropped my phone and the entire screen came off. When I put the screen back in, it kept saying "Searching." My friend who worked on phones claims it is the logic board antenna, but I just wanted to make sure since the description of it only talks about Wi-Fi and GPS connection.

I don't know much about hardware, but why would changing the lightning dock help me get cellular service?

There's a cable on the Lightning dock, that connects to the logic board. That's how you get cell signal. Basically. If it was bent on the bottom, and didn't damage the logic board, then you're Lightning dock is damaged, and you aren't able to get signal
