Hi,

It may be a problem with Win10 and your laptop. Asus does not support Win10 for your laptop and says that you may experience problems when using it.

What happens is that when you plug in your earphones, not only does the sound come out of the earphones but a contact in the earphone socket in the laptop signals to the laptop to turn off the main speakers. This is controlled by the audio drivers.

So, in your case it could be that the earphone socket is faulty and the contact is not making properly or that internally the socket is loose enough from the systemboard so that contact is lost OR that the generic Windows10 audio drivers installed (as there are NO Asus Win10 drivers for your laptop) are not suited to your particular laptop for this function.
