How to upgrade beyond Snow Leopard?

I own an Intel Core Duo iMac early 2006. I would like to know if there is any way I could go beyond Snow Leopard. Thanks.

Only with a processor upgrade.

Pre-Installed MacOS: X 10.4.4 (8G1165) Maximum MacOS: X 10.6.8*

The problem is where to find the right processor for my old iMac and a technician who can make the fix. Any ideas?

Actually the problem will be how much you are willing to spend on a ten year old iMac.

That's right, I guess I could buy some other new Apple device, like an iPhone for example. I live in Brazil and Apple products here are very expensive, even though I am typing now on a later 2013 21,5 inches iMac. Thanks for your replies.
