Veronica Pleitez try an original Apple cable first and see what happens. Most common issue for what you have is caused by non-original charger/cable. It is possible that your aftermarket cable destroyed the lightning connector assembly or even worse the charging IC. If an original cable gives you the same error, replace the lightning connector assembly and re-evaluate. Use these guides to work on your phone.

I'd also be willing to wager that the Lightning port on the iPhone could be dirty.

Either all of the cables you've plugged your phone into are third party cables (not certified by apple and may not work with your iPhone) or your phone is broken. Both are very possible.

The plug may just be dirty. Clean it and it may work again.

I have similar issue with my iPhone 6+ even with the OEM lightning cables but my wife's iPhone and that of friends get charged by the same cables rejected by mine.

I presently use Amazon lightning cable and it works well but most of the times I need to play with it before it could start charging.

I'm wondering if there is a software issue specific with my own phone.
