Screen not working after replacement.

Hi!

Tried to replace my screen the other day. Everything seemed fine until i turned on the phone. At the beginning only a small vertical line showed at the left of the screen, but when putting it back nothing showed. The touchscreen works but it doesn't show any picture. I can receive calls and so on but not physically view anything on it. Any ideas for what I could do?

Did you unplug the battery before disconnecting the cables? If not you might have caused the back light filter to fail or the LCD cable was damaged during install. Also check to make sure the lcd cable is connected properly.

The cellphone was off when I replaced my screen but I dont´t know if it has anything to say, and I am pretty sure the lcd cable is properly connected. Any there tips for what could be the fault? Thanks anyway :)

its very possible that you got a defective screen. It has happened to my a few times. If you bought it on iFixit then you could probably send it back but if you got a cheap one off ebay then you're likely out of luck.
