Keyboard Trackpad Not Working
2007 Macbook Pro 2.4Ghz C2D
Hello,
I have a 2007 Macbook pro non unibody that the keyboard and trackpad don't work. I have replaced the whole keyboard and trackpad assembly top case with no avail. The power button works and the computer recognizes when i unplug the ribbon cable from the logic board because the fans kick on high. when i plug the assembly back in the fans go back to normal. the backlight also doesn't work. i can't see it being a hardware issue because the computer wouldn't see it as being there in the first place if it was. plus its a second known working assembly from another macbook pro. What could be the issue? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Is this a good question?

How swollen is the battery?
by mayer
battery isnt swollen at all. in fact ive had the battery out the last few months while ive been using it as a desktop mostly. I read online that some other people have had issues where the ribbon cable needs pressure on it for the keyboard and trackpad to work. my case it doesnt work either way. and if i connect the assembly to another macbook pro it works fine.
