Still unable to get replacement PSU

I complained on this forum just before Christmas about iFixit no longer stocking parts, specifically the PSU, for my ' old ' mid 2011 iMac intel. MAYER, who seems to be the most helpful guy on the forum, replied offering to look for one in his storeroom, but has not contacted me again, & has probably forgotten all about it. Needless to say, iFixit has not replied to my complaint. Does anybody know where I could get a replacement 614-0445 PSU ( new ) from? I have been without my computer for almost 3 months!!

Well you wrote me you were in the UK and shipping charges would be very high. If you did not find one the I'll pull a working one today and get an approximate cost.

No joy I pulled two and both had issues. I think it's the cold solder joints on both. You might try what I'm going to do and repair the joints. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dG0fwE7...

Thanks for your efforts on my behalf, & for the link on how to repair ' cold ' solder joints. I'm o.k. with the soldering part of the repair, it's just identifying what's wrong that baffles me! Perhaps you could let me know if you have any success with the repair of your PSU's, & I might be able to buy one of those from you. In any case, thanks again.

They are on the bench for repair I we can ever get to them.

Good luck with that, & let me know how you get on. For my part, things go from bad to worse! After 4 months of being without a computer, & for the sake of a $100 spare part, I have eventually had to spend $1400 on a new iMac, only to find that my Canon i9950 printer no longer works because Canon have not developed a printer drive for El Capitan OSX 10.11! ( & they say they are not going to supply one any time soon ) Despite having bought all this new equipment, I am still interested in one of your PSU's if you manage to repair them.
