My device wont turn on.
the monitor is plugged in but the device wont switch on. i changed the AC cords and it appears to be charging but the screen wont switch on.

Are you sure that it is not in 'sleep' mode.
Have you tried pressing the power button for 2 seconds. (Do it twice in case the unit is on and you switch it off)
Do you get anything on the screen if you press the menu button?
