Opened up to fix the power button, now no sound comes out

So, my iPod's power button got jammed and I opened it up to see if I could fix it.. I tried my best but to no avail.. Now I reassembled it and the screen is all messed up, but still functional. I connected it to some speakers I have and no sound comes out, and I plugged it into some headphones and no sound comes out from there either.. What did I do wrong and what can I do to fix it?
