I would like to replace the built in screen of my Asus X550LN with a 1080x1920 screen because I am a content creator and the laptop itself is still fast enough to run my DAWs very well however I always have to use an external monitor because the standard resolution is not optimal.

Its not possible to replace your laptop screen to another screen with a higher resolution. But you can always buy a 1920 x 1080p monitor and connect your laptop to the monitor using a HDMI or VGA cable.
