The optical drive motor on my ps1 is broken

The connector from the optical drive motor to the logic board was somehow broken. The optical drive does not spin at all anymore. Is this a permanent problem or is there any kind of possible fix? Here's a picture of what seems to be the source

@mr_norm yes that is definitely a good source of any issue. From what limited view we have on your image, it appears that your solder pads are still intact on the board and the contacts on the connector as well. It looks like a solder job should fix this. Since you have the board out and you still have the connector, I'd try to find a place that can solder to get it repaired.
