I need some advice in changing my MacBook Pro?

I have MacBook Pro 2009 Unibody with 10.11.2 as an OS.

I need to upgrade my USB from 2.0 to USB 3.0 and I also need a Thunderbolt interface as well for recording TV programs.

What would be the right lap top for my use? I also understand that the hard disc comes with max of 500 GB, I have at present a 1 TB HD.

To record TV programs from the HDMI port do I require a streamer if so what about Apple TV or should I buy Black-Magic Intensity Pro 4K.

In INDIA Apple products are very expensive since I am obsessed with Apple, I don't want to migrate back to MS Windows which I left 10 years ago.

Please help me,

Any of these should do: MacBookPro9,1 or MacBookPro10,1. These are the last 15" Unibody systems Apple made. You should be able to find one used. Your other choice here is a 13" which is still available as new MacBookPro9,2.

All of these systems offer USB 3.0 or 3.1 as well as Thunderbolt. As they use standard 2.5" drives you could upgrade the drive if the system you found had a smaller drive than what you want. Frankly, if you are doing video you should setup an external drive system as you will easily need more than 1 TB of storage. I would recommend getting a 3 or 6 TB external RAID drive setup as being the ideal setup.

As far as capturing the TV programming you'll need to work that out on your own. Technically, it is illegal do do so in many countries (unless its for personal use).
