Trackpad adjustment screw came out!

Hey guys

I was adjusting my Track pad adjustment screw, and I unscrewed it by mistake.

How can I get this thing back in, as seems to be not screwing back in?

Cheers

I got it back in now, but track pad not clicking? Although I think my T6 torx isn't turning the screw and looks a bit round. might need a new screw?

Can you tell us which screw you are talking about. The Trackpad adjustment screw is a captured screw it shouldn't come out, did you force it?

by

the one at the bottom,. there is only one on the 2009 versions. I ordered a replacement, just encase I have DE threaded it. but it screws back in, but doesn't click anymore. Track pad is fine though. I am just using tap for now. If I have to stick to tap option, then its no hassle really. I wouldn't mind getting it to click again though. Its the built in Multi-Touch.

Dan, that screw comes out. To put the screw back in use gravity, have the bottom of the trackpad acing up, put thee screw in place and very gentle turn it with the T6 till it catches. Use this guide to adjust the click: http://www.insidemylaptop.com/how-to-rep...

Hi Mayer

Thanks I will have a look at this. I am doing it up for my daughter, as its off key, and hard to click. Track pad is fine though. I am just using tap for now. If she has to stick to tap option, then its no hassle really. I wouldn't mind getting it to click again though.

Cheers

@Mayer - Bad word choice, I never tried unscrewing it out fully (a 1/4 turn here a 1/4 turn there).

Hey Mayer

that did the trick, what you mentioned with the screw. They are so complex to get in, but once you got a straight grip, you are off. Had to tighten it till I got the click back. working as usual and not uneven.

Kind Regards
