How do I just disconnect my keyboard?

Hi,

I spilled something over my keyboard and some keys just keep messing with my macbook. I do have a external keyboard that works fine. I tried to disconnect via the terminal way but its not really practical. I like to just disconnect my keyboard. So i just need to know wich cable to pull from my logic board. Thanks!

Not an option here. You need the keyboard connected as the power switch is part of it.

It's time to dig in and clean the connections if that is all it is, or replace the keyboard or the full upper case assembly.

Follow this IFIXIT guide: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody Mid 2010 Upper Case Replacement it will get you mostly there. If you want to try to clean the keyboard it's a bit more work. Frankly, I just replace the upper case assembly's and ship the bad ones to someone to rebuild them for me.

it is really sad that you can not disconnect your keyboard because it comes with power button in the same cable so if you will do it then no longer you unable to turn on your notebook. The only solution which u can go for to change it
