Why does the washer sound like its spinning but it's not?

After replacing the coupler and agitator camshafts, the washer will fill and drain but will not agitate or spin. It seams to be going through the cycles but is not.

If your Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine refuses to spin or agitate during the wash cycle, see the Kenmore 110 Series Washing Machine Doesn’t Spin or Agitate problem page for possible causes and solutions.

If it sounds like it's spinning then it will be one of 3 things.

1. Clutch

2. Failed transmission

3 drive bell, you have to remove the agitator to see the top of the bell see if it's stripped out.

If there is nothing happening during the spin or wash cycle (no sound) and the timer is just advancing it's the lid switch.
