Can I reattach parts that sort of came of while repairing?

OK hi,

I tried the Fan Step By Step Guide and I kind of did all right, but when it came to the point where I had to disconnect the cables from the logic board a problem occured and i sort of took the whole thing off. So now i cant reattach the cables to the logic board because the mounting came off as well. Now I’m looking for help rather with soldering or anything that could help.

Thanks a lot

With a small soldering iron and a steady hand you can try your luck and resolder the socket. Magnifier helps. Otherwise the alternative is a new logicboard :-(

BTW. you pull the connector straight up, a point that should be mentioned more clearly in the guide. A lot of people had these troubles.

An electronics shop

might be a better solution than a DIY fix. The electronics shop should have all the equipment and skill to directly solder the wires to the board.

Soldering logic board components requires special tools, and lots & lots of practice. It's very easy to damage the circuit board if you've not had lots of experience.
