Will case closure magnets harm an iPhone 4?

I am considering a flip type case for the iPhone 4 that uses 2 magnets near the home button to keep the case closed.

Any known issues that could be caused by these magnets in the case?

I'm pretty sure the compass would be inaccurate; I am worried about any permanent damage to any components.

No, the flash memory and other components in your iPhone will not be harmed by common magnets that you might find in a case or around the house.
