Trackpad/ForcePad Issue after installing a new one

I'm new to the forum. Guys I've got a quick question.

I had liquid damage on my Macbook I used IFIXIT guide to open and clean everything and it works. But a slight issue is with the trackpad I heard like a crackling noise from their at first I thought it was the fan but it's the touchpad. it works fine just makes the crackling noise. so I've ordered and fitted a replacement in.

But, the function keys at the top don't seem to work where the volume are and screen brightness are. The button do work as I press them it makes a noise error,

Does any one have any ideas what could be wrong

Sounds like what ever spilled into your system has effected the main keyboard and/or the ribbon connections.

Are you sure the keyboard was working before you replaced the trackpad? If it was you may just need to reseat the ribbon connectors. Hint: Use a small strip of electrical tape to create a pull to help seat the ribbon cable and make sure you open and close the connect clamps of the connector. Often people break them or forget to open them when removing the ribbon cable as well as re-latch the clamp properly.

If it's not the ribbon cables then it's likely the keyboard needs replacing as well. Sadly, that will require a complete uppercase replacement.
