Replacing Home Button but afraid of error 53

Hi,

I have an iPhone 6 which had his Home Button replaced, but now I'm receiving Error 53 trying to restore it.

I understand that there's nothing to do about it, but what if I buy & replace the home button + logic board all together? will everything work as it should?

Thanks in advance :)

Answer this question I have this problem too

That is unfortunately the consequence of replacing the home button on the iPhone 6.

The home button is paired to the Logic Board, so if you buy a matching pair of Logic Board and home button, then it should work yes. But I would assume, that it would be just as cheap to buy an entire phone.

As of yet, it unfortunately dosn't seem to be possible to rescue the phone from the Error 53.

Hi, thanks for your reply!

If I buy from iFixit a logic board + home button, will it work ok?

Hi Erez,

I don't believe that ifixit sells iPhone 6 Logic Boards with paired home buttons unfortunately.

You would have to find something like this for the iPhone 5S: [linked product missing or disabled: IF124-030]
