How do I stick volume buttons to the bracket

I tore the power/volume cable while replacing the screen. I purchased the new cable and finished disassembly. While trying to reassemble, I peeled the protective covering off of the cable beneath the volume and lock components. When I press them to the bracket, the buttons and switch (the last step/first step in reassembly) will not stick. They pop off when trying to stick the next one on. Is there another adhesive I can apply to get them to stick that will not damage the cable?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

When using super glue, , I use a needle to stick down the tube of superglue and that way you only transfer a tiny amount of glue from the end of needle onto your cables and it keeps from getting too much glue from spreading to other parts of the cable.

Yes, that a common problem. You can use quality double sided tape, you could use a very small drop of supper glue if it's the only alternative. But only a small amount that only covers the back, without it getting on the front or sides of the cable. Do one at a time and let dry before installing.

I would recommend using super glue as a last resort. Its a pain to deal with if you ever have to work on it again.

A little double sided tape works fine as long as you don't use too much.
