Black Screen after apple logo boot

Hi Everybody.

i am in posses of a mac book late 2008 running mac os x Lion.

suddenly the macbook after the apple logo throw a black screen (i get feedback from volume).

i tried to:

- reset SMC

- reset PRAM

- Install from a clean USB ----> in the boot from USB i get the same result, the installation starts but no screen after apple logo.

i would be happy to solve this issue.

thank a lot to all the community.

ps: i have tried booting linux mint and everything works fine(it even allows to install proprietary drivers)
