Possible to Upgrade Logic Board with Board from 15 inch MBP?

Hi,

I have an early 2011 13-inch unibody MacBook Pro with a 2.7 GHz i7 processor. I need to boost my processing speed to run some music applications better and have already put in 16GB of RAM and a 500GB SSD after which I saw big gains in speed. I was just wondering: is it possible to replace my entire logic board with a better logic board from an early 2011 15-inch unibody MacBook Pro? In other words, will it fit physically in my machine?

Your processor is packing a punch already , you could upgrade to the 2.9 i7 board but you won't notice a difference. What programs are you using that you want to boost so much?

I'm just running MainStage 3 and Omnisphere, but could be smarter about how I'm making patches to reduce CPU usage. I usually have issues (pops and clicks) when I'm running a five-channel multi in Omnisphere or using granular synthesis and don't want to increase latency too much by increasing the sample size in MainStage.
