How easy is it to scratch the black bezel?

Hello,

I'm planning to open up my iMac soon and wondered if anyone knew how easy it is to scratch the black bezel/foil on the screen? Is there still a high chance of scratching when using a pick/ opening tool?

I don't know, I've never tried to scratch one but I've opened a lot without scratching them. Please tell us why you want to open it. What's your real issue here?

UPDATE

Get that little iOpener tool! Also the new adhesive strips. Looks like the tool is included with the strips: [linked product missing or disabled: IF174-005]

Hi mayer,

Thanks for the reply. I'll be opening my iMac to change the existing hard drive. However, I haven't yet opened an iMac and I wanted to know how delicate the black paint/foil around the bezel is on the inside of the glass. I'll be using plastic tools so it sounds like ill be fine.
