Powers off if not connected to the power mag

Ive had my macbook air for about a year and a half now. I don't really use it for much, but about 2 weeks ago it shuts down after 30 seconds or so unexpectedly. The only way it works is if its connected to my power mag. Does anyone know what the problem may be. Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

If a battery is fully charged and kept on the charger that will result in overcharging. If a battery is overcharging for long enough it will lose its capability to hold energy. If your Macbook is always on the charger that is probably the reason why. You will need to get a new battery. Get it here.
