Why does the tub not spin with a full load?
The tub will spin automatically during the spin cycle with a light load, but if a full/heavy load, like when washing towels, the tub will not spin by itself. Will start to spin if open the lid and give the tub a "push" to start it spinning.
Is this a good question?

@oldturkey03:Thank you very much. First, I didn't realize my washer was a direct drive. Second, it really looks like this will be the solution to my problem. The clutch doesn't look like a very expensive part so not expensive like replacing a motor, etc. I will pursue this solution. Thanks also for a VERY quick response.

@ghkroupa cost for the clutch is anywhere between $20-$40USD and pretty straight forward repair. Only word of advice, the output shaft is just sitting in the transmission and can easily pulled out through the transmission cover. This will ruin the oil seal and it's a bit of a PITA to replace it. Most likely you will not have to exert any force on that unless you decide to replace the clutch housing itself as well. Best of luck to you
