Why wont the iPhone activate sim card when sim card is inserted?
iPhone wont activate properly working sim card when the sim card is inserted into the phone.

try checking the pins for the sim reader, sometimes they get flattened and don't make contact with sim card, just ease them up a little with a flat head screw driver. go gently they are easy to break.
have you got the right carrier sim for the phone?

unlock your phone through wifi, i had that problem and that fixes it
