Front facing camera not working

I have replaced the battery in my iPhone 5c and after the repair my front facing camera isn't working, the strange thing is that when I flip to the front facing camera in the camera app it brings up the animation of the camera flipping around and shows a still picture of the last thing the back camera saw (if that makes sense) then I scroll to the 'square' photo filter and it displays the back camera but the image is sideways?

If anyone has a solution or has heard of this type of behaviour before please let me know :)

Options

You probably damaged the ribbon cable when you removed the screen, the front camera has his own independent ribbon cable, it may be the only one you damaged. Or maybe you didn't plug it back well.
