Swap iPhone 6 logic board into different phone

I have a broken iphone 6 except mabye the logic board. I want the data from logic board. Can I put the logic board in another iphone 6 for data extraction. Will swapping board erase data for some reason. I read something about the home button key needing to stay with logic board it came with or there would be complications. I do not know if this is true. I have access to another iphone 6. Thank you for the help.

I want the pictures and to create an icloud backup to put onto my new phone since I had not backed it up in months.

What if I swapped the logic board and home button together? The hard drive on the broken iphone has a larger memory and I want to use it.

@haftown you heard right about the home button. It is paired with the IC' on the original logic board. Yes you can use the logic board in another case, but I do not see the reason why you would. The logic board essentially is the phone. Any of the other peripherals would be easier to swap to your phone. You may want to expand on that idea a bit .

Thanks for the help. I already bought a new iphone so I just want the data. I wasn't sure all this stuff was possible until I already bought a new one. I have access to another 6. I want to put my board in and connect to my icloud and create a backup. Then put the backup onto my new phone. I will put the other board back in when I am done. Do I need to swap the home button as well if I am just using it to connect to icloud or a computer. I don't even know if the button works.

Yes you will have to do that as well. If you absolutely cannot, try without the button and se what happens. Right now you have not much to lose by trying.
