There are about 8 different G3 12" iBooks. Some have 32k, some 64k of RAM on the logic board and some 128k. Go to your system profiler under the Apple in the upper left hand corner and give us the speed of your machine. These machine have one RAM expansion slot that will take up to a 512MB SDRAM SODIMM. So you can add 32, 64 or 128 of built in RAM to 512 and get the maximum RAM.

Relatively speaking, yes. That is the maximum amount of RAM that you are able to put into that computer.
