Vibrate not working (replaced motor)

So my iPhone came into contact with water, the result was the vibrate function stopped working. Now the switch works fine (still flips between normal and silent) as does the rest of the phone except it doesn't vibrate. I stripped down the phone replaced the battery a new rear cover and vibrate motor. The phone works just as before but the vibrate motor isn't vibrating. Any ideas on what could be causing this?
