Was water damaged, dried out ,opened up and cleaned. shows up on ITunes. replaced screen and digitizer with new ( Twice) works on ITunes but the screen is dark cannot see without a flashlight. tried reset, restoring, no help. any ideas would be greatly appreciated. logic board ? cannot find one to purchase. thanks , any ideas

Mike, "the screen is dark cannot see without a flashlight." does that mean that you can see something on the screen with a flashlight? In that case your backlight circuitry has failed. The are no schematics for the iPod, so you will have to take a look around and check the components. My first suspicion would be a failed coil.

oldturkey03, yes I can see everything on the screen with a flashlight. was going to look for a logic board but was unable to find one. couldn't find any schematics either on the net. do you know of the pin out for the ribbon connectors to possibly check for voltage to the lcd. thank you
Sorry but I sure do not. Post a couple of good High res images with your original question. You are definitely looking at backlight issues. We can try and figure something out.
Have you tried with new battery? Few times screen and battery not working after water. Maybe you have water left on 2 different components. Try to change batteri first

Haven't tried a new battery, charges full on screen of Ipod, I could replace it and see what it does. frustrating. Thanks
