Why won't my iHome iBT73 work?

I have just received an iHome model iBT73. I can turn it on, and the lights will blink and flash, but that's all it does. When I plug it into my phone or computer to play music, I will press play on my device but it won't play anything through the speakers on the iHome. I can turn bluetooth on on both the iHome and my phone, but my phone won't find it. Also, the red light on the iHome is supposed to turn off when it is finished charging and turn blue when you turn the iHome on. However, none of this happens. I have been charging the iHome for probably at least 10 hours now and the red light does not turn off. When I turn it on, the blue light does not turn on. Please help. It doesn't do anything other than flash the pretty lights.

Hi,

It seems as though you have a faulty product.

The following is taken from the Warranty Information found in the User Guide.

Should this product fail to function in a satisfactory manner, it is best to first return it to the store

where it was originally purchased. Should this fail to resolve the matter and service still be required

by reason of any defect or malfunction during the warranty period, SDI will repair or, at its

discretion, replace this product without charge. This decision is subject to verification of the

defect or malfunction upon delivery of this product to the Factory Service Center authorized by

SDI Customer Service. The product must include proof of purchase, including date of purchase.

An out-of-warranty fee for service will be charged for units that are received without proof of

purchase''

On the bottom of the speaker, peel off the sticker that has the iHome model number and other info to reveal four screws. Take the screws out and you'll see three sets of wires. The set that is black and red with a white plug can be removed and and put back in to hard set the speaker.

No screws under the label. There are 4 screws around the inner edge of the base.
