okay so over summer i was at the beach laying down tanning and this HUGE wave crashed down on me and it sucked my ipod into the water but i got it out and dried it off and it worked perfectly fine and it charged that night too but on the way home it died and it hasnt came back on since?? is it a complete loss?

Anytime something electronic gets wet you need to let it dry completely before using it. Another thing, you say you were at the beach when this happened, so I'm assuming it was salty water which is a corrosive thing to electronics. Sounds like it might have shorted out inside. If you are tech savvy at all, take it apart and see if there are any burned/shorted places inside, if you are not tech savvy, it's probably a lost cause...sorry.
