looking for hard drive Seagate 60GB SATA

Hi

I have a Macbook 13" bought in 2004. the hard drive - which needed replacing in 2007, gave up. I need another similar hard drive to recover the data from the one that gave up.

Looking for a Seagate 60GB SATA, model no. ST96812AS (Momentus 5400.2)PN: 9W3182040 FW.7.01.

Apple part no :MER 25655-1289A

KA 62900S0U52A

Please let me know when you find one and how much it is.

Not sure why you are wanting to find a 60 GB drive for your machine. I most likely go with a 250-320GB as the price would be close to the cost of a new 60GB if you could find one. As far as the recovery of the data I would use a OWC / Newer Technology USB 2.0 tool kit. It lets you hook up your pulled drive to the USB port and if the drive is readable it can be use to move or Migrate your data. It is also NOT very expensive and can be used on SATA as well as IDE drives.
