My screen won't display.

My screen won't display. If I lightly push the power button I see a glow from the back light and if I hold the power button then I get a half screen that says " Slide to shut down your PC". It doesn't matter if I slide up or down I never get a picture again. I have no keyboard to help make light and dark adjustments. I do know it was posting changes today so maybe one of the changes screwed something up. How can I reset to factory default?

Chosen Solution

Step 1: Boot your Surface using a USB recovery drive. Insert a bootable USB drive into the USB port on your Surface, then press and hold the volume-down button while you press and release the power button. When the Surface logo appears, release the volume-down button.
