Hi.
My iMac boots with a black screen. About once a day it boots with video. But when I turn on and off it boots without video, and LED 3 is off.
Has anyone else experienced this?

The 3rd light is GPU, if its off then this indicates that it cant see or communicate with the GPU which may indicate a failing/failed GPU.

No, the screen is absoult pitch dark.
But for now I am only conserned with getting my iMac to boot with an external display, cause I have a problem with the LCD connector on the logic board.
The problem is that som days it will boot if I unplugg, wait 30-60min and then plugg the power back inn, and it boots right up with video.
And the next day it will maby only boot with video the first time I plugg it inn, and the rest of the day the screen stays black.
I can logg inn remotley via iCloud, and the computer seams to function fine. This is also true when I get the external display to work, it works without a glitch.
My plan now is to downgrade OSX to an older version and see if that helps.
Any suggestions?

Downgrading to OS X Maverics had no effect. Still randomly boots with video on external screen.
Is it posible to force downgrading of bios, efi?
