cannot switch on. while connecting to charger a light blinks

I cannot switch on my Google nexus 7 tablet. I followed all the instructions given by the device support, but I could not turn it on. while connecting to charger or PC a tiny light blinks near the connecting point . what can be the defect? how can I repair it.

Options

That blinking light indicates that a charger has been plugged in. Leave it plugged in for a bit then try to power it on.
