Hi I have similar problem. I quickly tested a macbook pro 13 2010 screen on my 2010 unbody white a1342. Now backlight doesnt work so i guess i blew the fuse. Is that because the screen is very different. As it had a 30 pin connector i assumed it would be okay

You also could of blew a bunch of other things the pinouts are different for those models start with the fuse . I suspect the lcd itself is no good on 2010 mbp a1278 after you did that too. Lookup schematics for both models you'll see what i'm talking about. It's 30 pin alright just 30 pins in different pinout.
