How to find parts

I am trying to repair Ipad 2 and I need to find a part so I can solder it. It's a Zif Socket that connects the Ribbon to motherboard from the Headphone jack, Microphone + Cameras, Power Button, and Volume controls. I've googled it but I'm confused as to what type of socket is needed. I have schematics but I don't think the schematics is helpful with type of parts I need. I am new at this and I am trying to learn the resources and need a bit of guidance. Do you have any ideas? If so, is there a forum that help with this type of thing?

Where can I order this type of connector? The connector seems to be bigger than the digitizer connector. I've tried finding schematics for this particular board, but I have been unsuccessful. I can only find schematics for the older mother board. Not looking for an exact answer, just need a place to go to inquire about it.

CluelessInSeattle post an image of your connector/board with your question. Lets see if I have some laying around from previous repairs.

Well that is a tough one to source. I looked around briefly and don't see it anywhere on eBay or China. You'd have to call a source in China and ask for it specifically to see if they can source it.

What you are looking for is iPad 2012 version headphone/power flex fpc connector.

Harvesting off of another 2012 iPad 2 may be the easier route.
