PS2 Not Powering On

Back home for the holidays and I found my PS2 that I used to play with nearly a decade ago. Try to pop in my favorite game but the tray wouldn't come out. After a few tries it opened up and in goes the disc; however nothing appears on the TV. Cable problems were possible but I decided to open the console up and now the thing won't even power on(no fan & no red light).

I've been trying to look for repair stores online but should I check elsewhere? I'll call some local PC/electronics repair shops tomorrow.

If this issue is something that I can possibly fix, that would be even better.
